joining us now is sadie gurman, -- her team is one of the first, or was the first, really, to report on the content of this today. sadie thanks for your being here today, and thanks for your great reporting on this. you had a little bit more time than others in assessing what was in this report. maybe you've had a chance to -- withstand that to? you >> withstands out to me is that while we got a very significant glimpse into the government's investigation into what happened at mar-a-lago, there are a lot more questions -- it actually raises more answers questions than answers, which you raised it. what's -- in this tranche, including some that were classified as top secret. that designation is so sensitive that those documents are only allowed to be open in a specific government facility. and it applies to things like military cyclists, defence information and other material person international security interests. so, that was the most significant thing. but to me, it just a little bit of a glimpse into what is certain to be a much more sprawling investigation than what we even know

joining me now is sadie gurman, wall street journal justice reporter, who was among the first to write about what was inside that warrant. sadie, welcome. we are so glad to have you here. so, comparing your notes to the nbc news notes and reports that fbi agencies 27 in boxes including 11 sets of these classified documents from mar-a-lago. some again marked top secret, mentally billable in special government facilities. you and your colleagues have reviewed the warrant and the receipt. first of all, what can you tell us about this list of items that was taken, and was striking the most about the substance of any of these classified documents? >> well, like he mentioned, there were 11 sets of classified documents contained within these boxes. and what struck me immediately was how some of those documents were marked top secret. that level classification pertain to some of the most sensitive secrets related to national security, related to things like military secrets, military programs, nuclear programs. and so, while the inventory just not list exactly what was found inside of this box

we want to bring in one of the reporters who initially broke the story today, sadie gurman of "the wallt journal," and former federal prosecutor renato mariotti. thank you for joining us. hello to both of you. just to clarify this, which government agency was looking for these documents or material? >> this all started when the national archives notified the justice department that within about 15 boxes of documents collected after trump left the white house was some serious information. they referred this to the justice department for investigation, and that has prompted this incredible back-and-forth that we are seeing which culminated this week with a search, and in the release of a search warrant, the justice department came looking for any sort of remaining classified documents that were at mar-a-lago, and they found quite a few, as the warrant that we saw today revealed. judy: there has been a lot thrown around about what was in these documents. what was known about what was there? for example, nuclear information about nuclear weapons. what is known about what was found? >> we ac
