police say it was an alert safeway shopper who helped them track down ellis. >>:she noticed or he noticed the suspect inside of the store and he said that something was strange and he was able to call the police department kathrynthe resident knew what ellis looked like from seeing surveillance photos on t-v. after his tip -- police staked out the suspect's car in the parking lot. two hours later police say ellis -- now with his head shaven and his beard trimmed - came back to the car and drove off. he was pulled over and arrested at the intersection of claremont and woodsong. a pilot and three passengers were able to walk away from this crash at san jose's airport today -- just after noon. this video is from our helicopter partnership with abc7 news. the pilot had just taken off for seattle when he saw a warning light for the landing gear. he notified the tower that he had to make an emergency landing. the plane crashed on impact when its landing gear collapsed. fire crews doused the craft with foam -- and the four people on board the nine-seater got out safe
