(rob live) people started lining up outside the courthouse hours before the verdict was to be handed down. every seat was taken in department 40 and dozens more people were watching via closed circuit tv from another courtroom. and then, a few moments after 9 a.m., what has to rank among the more dramatic moments in santa clara county criminal court history, began to unfold. you cold hear a pin drop as the jury, having deliberated for just under two days, filed into the courtroom, where no cameras have been permitted. asked by judge vanessa zecher if the jury had in fact reached a verdict. the forman said
