sal, this time of year there's a lot of paving going on. i've heard from people getting frustrated there are a lot of lanes closed around the bay area. >> a lot of paving going on 680 and 580 and this happens because of the weather is warm and not a lot of chance of rain. right now let's take a look at some of these commutes and you will see some slow downs here and there from construction or paving or whatever they're doing so in the maintenance they do gilroy to san martin. looks good into the valley. no major problems but see those icons where they have the workmen there? mostly paving, some of it is road work striping that kind of thing. northbound 280 getting up the highway 17. this looks good. we always look at the toll plaza where there's no road work but traffic is moving along well into san francisco. you have a good opportunity and i also will say that we're going to steve here, those flags steve are still. >> there's not much of a breeze there so that's for sure. we do have a lot of low clouds in place. a rather decent delta win.

speaking of riding, sal, major traffic messes this morning. >> that's right. this career here's on 80 in berkley westbound, we're making progress here. you want to show you the progress on 80. they have moved the truck so they got a couple of tow trucks here and they have moved the vehicle with no wheels off to the side. there it is and now the sweeper is here. the sweeper truck has arrived and you can see the sweeper truck is cleaning up the sand that was spilled when the barrels were ripped through when this truck hit them. so they're waiting for that and once that happens i believe we can open up these lanes. the damage is done on 80 westbound. look at this back up here. i'm going to show it to you on the map. red means very slow. down to six miles per hour on some spots here. an accident in the back up. backed up to pinol. some people using other freeways and look, no one is getting through to the bay bridge toll plaza. that's going to change. 680 has been stacked up. we have slow traffic from concord to walnut creek. very slow, that's what people do, they

let's go back to sal for a check on traffic. what are you keeping an eye on, sal?> we have a lot of slow traffic at the bay bridge. they moved an earlier stalled car. and they had to slow the metering lights down. and if you're trying to get into san francisco, a pretty big backup at the bay bridge toll plaza. and you can see how slow it is coming around to the toll plaza. and getting out to the area. and that's because they had to slow the metering lights down. they've started to speed them up a little bit. but they have to wait for the traffic to dissipate. this is a tough morning for the bay bridge. 30-minute delays at least if you're trying to get into san francisco. bart could be an alternate or you can use the san mateo bridge. this bridge is okay. still not a lot of slow traffic on the san e south bay was being picked up. for the most part it's been a pretty good drive. >>> we do have a unique kind of weather history to show you in just a second. first of all, low clouds, and higher clouds up above. and plenty of fog. 57 to 58 after 59 to 60 yesterday. but i
