what are you keeping an eye on, sal? >> we're looking at some of these far away commutes, pam and dave. you can see it is moving along okay. a little bit of slowing right before the altamonte pass. this is a look at interstate 880 and things are okay here. both directions passing the coliseum. there have been no major issues at the toll plaza although it is getting a little crowded here. it's starting to get a little crowded as you come up on 440. >>> let's get to it here. cloudy and mostly cloudy skies. it's a high cloud deck. the city's sitting around 50, 51. pressure's still high. 30.08. no breeze. not much is going on. the low there looks like it wants to track. i can show you there. it isn't training moisture right there. but it looks like the track wants to go like this and then like that. so the northern edge of that santa cruz mountains maybe would be the line for any rain and i don't think it will happen here. i think it will be in sfral california and southern california. san diego's talking about it but we're

sal. >>> good morning to you guys. right now, we are going to take a look at the bay bridge toll plaza and show you that the commute is now almost full strength here. it's 15 to 20 minute delay before you make it onto the span. but some commutes are a little lighter. we have a problem on highway 4 bay point on the pittsburgh pittsburg side highway 4 a motorcycle accident. no injuries but the vehicles are off to the center divide. 608 looks good. going to the south bay northbound 101 near 880 some lanes were blocked there for just a minor crash. traffic is going to be okay on the other approach to the west valley. santa cruz pointins having a good day. leave it like that. let's bring in steve with the weather. >>> we will get to it as you probably know by now, it's been an extremely dry february. and it looks like san francisco will tie 1864. but jayson says good morning, steve, good morning. 1864 did that end up being a drought year? the answer is yes. the rain year which is july 1st and june 30th, 1863 to 1864 total,

allie rasmus is in for sal. how does our commute look? >> just now and the last 10 minutes ago the commute kind of took a turn up for the worst. we're going to go live to show you right now. you can see the east shore freeway. there's a box truck on its side. it looks like a box truck or maybe a van. you can see the wheels behind it and traffic is right in the middle lanes and traffic is trying to get around this crash. and pulling out, you can see the backup extends all the way into berkley. so this is going to really add to your drive time from that corridor up in emeriville. we have a crash, an overturned truck on its of 80 and the east shore freeway. give yourself some extra time. we're going to continue to follow this and we'll have an update coming up. now, here is another crash we've been following in tracy. so when you approach westbound 580 it does clear up a little bit into the livermore valley and the rest of the east bay looks good except for that crash in emeriville. once you get to the bay bridge toll plaza, traffic here loo

sal castaneda is back. he's watching our roads. pretty quiet so far. >> things don't seem to be for example this is not the slowest commute i've seen. highway 24 is crowded as you pass the lafayette bart station and you will see traffic that's moving along okay approaching the maze. we also look at the bay bridge which is about a 15 to 20- minute delay. considering we had an accident there earlier i like what i'm seeing. there was a crash there. as i look at the peninsula it doesn't seem so slow so far heading into relatively uncrowded. >>> a lot of cloud cover here. maybe some rain tomorrow for areas to the south. i don't think it will happen for san francisco or oakland or anybody else. currently partly cloudy. punish's still high. it's been high for a long time. that's the system. you can see coming up from right there. that will play into our weather with mostly to cloudy skies. this system is going to move in towards the central california coast and not here. the stronger winds on the backside would dig south a lot of high clo

sal castaneda, what's the latest on the commute? >> it's beginning to warm up or to get more concentrated there if you will on some of these commutes. like the east bay commute is beginning to wake up. highway 24 westbound we're going to start there. if you're driving over to lafayette from walnut creek it looks okay. there's some slowing and some congestion but there's not a lot of stop and go yet on the way to the tunnel. at the bay bridge they cleared up what was in the car pool lanes. the rest of the bridge traffic looks about normal and if you look at the east bay commute we're looking normal here including the san mateo bridge trip to the peninsula which still looks good on that side of the bay. and in the south bay, that earlier crash on northbound 101 hadz cleared up. we are lucky because the south bay commute tends to start a little later. the commute has recovered rather quickly. 6:19. let's bring steve paulson back in. >>> let's take a look at our rainfall which is not so good. we'll take a look at the water here. the rai
