the chief is supposed to be coming down here in a minute and we will check in with sal sal castaneda to see how we can get around this mess, sal? >>> i want to show you chopper 2 and it shows southbound 101 heading out of san francisco and this is the westbound bay bridge and what we are looking at is the bridge coming off, just as i suspected it's not okay because all these cars have to go somewhere. this is going to back up traffic onto the bridge and there will be a big back up on to the toll plaza. southbound 101 and our news chopper 2 is doing the quick pan over there to show you what is going on there and as we pan to the left, you can see that there is the freeway southbound 101 at the 80 split here just to the left is where the crash is. so if you are trying to get out, go to 280 interchange. as you pass the 80 split, that is where the crash is. northbound 101, that is northbound coming in from candle stick area or the other part of san francisco, northbound looks okay getting to the downtown area but southbound 101 is completely closed. get out of the city that way if that is

we will now go to the ground and traffic's own sal castaneda, checking in on 101 san francisco, sal?hat's right. we have a problem there with the three-car crash on southbound 101, just after the 80 split. it was in the lanes that it appears to be that they have moved that to the shoulder. we have a picture of it here, southbound 101, do you remember last time we showed it to you. there was a slow down when they came along and moved it to the right shoulder there, which really cleared up the problems. if you are still on the other side, you'll see slow traffic there, coming across the bay. we have a look at the toll plaza from one of the cameras, right? it is backed up for the 25- minute delay. traffic is busy from pleasanton hill. and we are looking at the slow northbound commute now in the south bay, the busiest freeway is 101. and that is just ridiculous. backed up all the way near blossom hill road. not back to blossom hill, but near it all the way up into sunnyvale. we have slow traffic here on 280. you have my sympathy. >> all right, thank you, sir. >>> well, you have mostly cl
