and cooler in salisbury. up in hagerstown, 61 degrees there. we got the jet stream that is build this ridge over us and that is bringing a more southwesterly flow of air. that is what will warm us up for now, but that ridge will be replaced by a trough or a dip in the atmosphere that is going to bring in the cooler temperatures with the cold front by this weekend. before that happens, high pressure slides off to the east. that brings us the northwesterly flow behind the warm front. more moisture comes our way as it feels more humid and the hours for baltimore, a good chance of seeing showers then, even thunderstorms possible, especially as the cold fronted moves through by the afternoon during the warmest part of the day. behind it, that is when we get the dip as far as the cooler temperatures coming your way for this weekend when we drop into the low 80s again, and maybe even upper 70s by next week and the jet stream also showing you that trough over the eastern part of the u.s. while it warms back up to the west. how warm will it be today? to

down in salisbury 68. in wilmington, 58, and high pressure controlling the weather, you will see a little piece of energy controlling this model. i don't think that will affect us at all. this indicating at midnight if it did. the frontal boundary will stay to the south. it will return as a warm front. and the next front is going to come through by wednesday night. giving us a chance of showers wednesday night into thursday high pressure should be dominating for the most part and should bring us sunshine for the next couple of days. the difference will be the heat and humidity, won the jet stream rises further toward the north. as it does, the temperatures will climb close to 90 degrees. with the humidity it will feel more oppressive as we get into wednesday, thursday, friday, and saturday, too. that will make a difference in terms of how comfortable it is out there. look aththe high temperature of 82 degrees. north wind at 5-10 miles per hour. you're in the central part of the state, for the temperatures

you jump the bay and saint michaels is 82 and salisbury 83. it has been very, very nice. all the rain is down to the south. what we have here is drier conditions up northern sections from really virginia up to the north. it is fairly dry. but when you start to get south of virginia and in to the carolinas and the deep south there's a lot of moisture running up a stalled out frontal system down there. that's where it will stay the next several days. we have a chance of rain in the forecast but we will wait until thursday or so to introduce a chance of some widespread shower activity. you can see as we have flown you back up to washington in to pennsylvania, we are completely dry, thanks to that high pressure. tomorrow, mostly sunny again. there will be a frontal system bearing down on us late in the day. this is a cold front and it will swing through. ahead of that cold front, late tomorrow afternoon and tomorrow evening a little moisture will pull ahead of that front. the front is lifting the atmosphere as it comes through. in front of the front a spotty p.m. shower or th
