>> have a question for sally ann. you talked about genocides in other places and hate speech. where things have happened, germany, south africa, they have pretty verily rules against hate speech. so are we going to have to go through our own, like with slavery and racial issues, will we have to go through our own, like, racial violence to see where we get through these? >> i think one of the reasons why i study what i study is so that we can learn how to prevent this from happening. i hope that we do not have to have that. thank you. >> there is some stuff going on that feels like, are we moving in that direction? >> absolutely. that is why i said from the beginning, the words against the media, i knew it would only be a matter of time. i think we saw it a lot. you mentioned black lives matter, and we saw that kind of violence against groups. in charlottesville, there was a man who was attacked by a group of white supremacists and beat so badly, and it was a long time before anything happened before he was even arrested, and i even think the victim was originally arrested. i h
