sally, i'll begin with you if i can. what do you make of the ruling, how do you feel about it?, he ruled exactly the way i thought he would, because there was no due process. it simply, they did it all behind closed doors, it was under the table. there were several meetings with county officials and people, and the muslims and they got the whole thing decided and nobody knew a thing about it until it was announced on may the 28th. >> now what the judge has said the permit is revoked except that of course this is not the final decision is what he also said, so joe, the imam tells us he will continue with construction unless he's told by the county to stop. the building code department has not revoked their permit. the sheriff is not going to be tapped to serve any kind of a stop work order, so what do you make of all that? >> well, it's pure arrogance and that is all it can amount to. we have proceeded in the proper fashion, we went in the courtroom to file our lawsuit. we have been in litigation now for about 18 months, chancellor corlew declared all permits issued are void. do

but i want to ask a question back to sally. who are on the other side of this issue, sally, from you and you and i have spoken a lot about this, have said first you came up with a traffic problem as an issue, water quality as an issue, then this process of lack of notice as an issue. in court as we showed in our documentary, joe was arguing islam is not a religion, that was another issue to come up and basically throwing stuff against the wall trying to make it stick just because you do not like muslims in your town. is that true? >> soledad, the thing that i said from the very first was that there was no public knowledge until it was a done deal. and that is true. and it's not a matter of islamaphobia with me. the county government is supposed to operate in a particular way. they are not supposed to meet under the table. they are not supposed to disobey the sunshine law. people who live in an area where a mosque or anything else is going to be built are supposed to have a right to say something about it and in this case, there

sally, i know yao been spending a lot of time looking at facebook and jpmorgan.have not gotten to the points you make in the harvard business review piece out in june. your point is the board should be focusing on different things than they are at this point. >> i think it comes back to the issue of kem plexty. members of a big bank have been were very complex. the details they're given are significant and wide ranging. so what i try to do is go through that for my experience within the companies as an analyst. try to cut through and say there are a few tools they have to cut this through complexity. one of them is compensation. another dividend policy. looking at businesses doing well. not just the ones doing poorly. and watching customer metrics. >> in terms of the compensation. that's the stick approach or the care approach too. >> we've taken an approach it's more equity held for a longer period of time. i don't think anybody would look at the downturn and say they didn't have enough equity. i think there's time for a rethink here to have a bit of a risk miti

this is the gate or sally port to ft. ward. it was on the rear wall of the fort. it's been redone a number of times. the army down at flt belvar, especially when the engineers were there, helped redo this gate a number of times, but this is your entrance to ft. ward. i want to point out. if we look around, there were buildings here. they are based on plans and photographs of buildings that were actually in the defenses of washington. but there were other gates like this at some of the other forts, too. they may not have been as nice, but some of them were with the name up above like you see here. the 1865 probably would not have been on the original gate. above it is the engineer castle. that is the logo of army engineers. as i told you, the engineers at ft. belvoir helped rebuild this gate a number of times. they put the engineer castle on top. and, of course, they oversaw the construction of the original defenses of washington. this is one of the best preserved of the various forts that were in the defenses of washington. these parts of it are fairly well taken
