. >> i'm sam brock. we begin debreaking news out of the east bay. all lanes in san leando have opened after a deadly crash. >> live at the scene right now with details on what happened. rick. >> reporter: yeah, this is kind of a chain reaction type of accident, but sam just hit it on the head about the traffic right now. all lanes have opened just as we arrived here, here on 880. this happened south of marina. crews cleared the wreck involving multiple vehicles that began a chain reaction of events. a vehicle with a 60-year-old driver was traveling north on 880 was rear ended. that vehicle ended up sideways and hit by another vehicle. then a fuel tanker hit the vehicle of the 60-year-old driver who was kilded. no explosion, but several other vehicles were hit and drivers have been hospitalized. now, the crews did work fast to clear the roadway. this morning, so it is back open. nothing affecting the morning commute, but that's the latest at this location. mike has a look at what's happening throughout the rest of the bay area. >> thank you, rick. be

i'm sam brock. >> and i'm kris sanchez. a lock at the location of the crime scene. the victims were found in a home just off atherton avenue. nbc bay area's pete suratos is following the scene for us. good morning to you, pete. what can you tell us about who these folks were. >> reporter: good morning to you, kris and sam. we just got new details from the marin county sheriff's office but we're standing here down the hill from the 600-block of the lane where this all took place because private investigators are keeping us down here as they work on that scene. let's go ahead and show you video from when we had another view to get closer to the scene. the sheriff's office is tell us at 8:30 a.m. relatives showed up at the home and found two individuals dead inside of that home from apparent gunshot wounds, and we're learning that the two individuals were elderly. they are about 75 years old, a male and female couple. now they are saying it's too early to tell if this is a murder-suicide, but all this is under investigation at this time. now i do want to point out that
