[applause] >> hi, everybody. >> hi! >> that is definitely the first time i have been introduced by a former high school classmate. so not surprisingly i think it is safe to say that is the nicest and most interesting introduction that i have ever had. thank you so much, treresa, for setting the stage. and thanks to all of you for coming. i was class of '88. i am not from here. i am from new hampshire so it isn't fully coming home but it is a home to me so it is especially exciting as the book goes and i am visiting different parts of the country to be in a room where i can be introduced by a former classmate. our school is a story about a year in the life of two schools and of the people's whose lives int int intersect. they have a charter school opening for the first time and a neighborhood school that first opened in 1924 in the nation's capital it is about a lot more than that. in fact, most of the issues it touches on are really the most pressing issues of the day nationally and w
