former san francisco reporter that co-authored a book about barry bonds commends on testimony from sam conti that bonds talked about anderson's steroids. >> bonds had acknowledged that greg anderson was steroids. that is interesting. it probably, the case doesn't rise or fall on it. >> reporter: bonds has said all along he never knowingly took steroids. giambi's testimony may have supported that contention if in fact he thought they were alternative to steroids. conti's steroids may have undermined his case. he is expected to be back up this morning. he is also testifying that he purchased steroids from bonds' trainer and long time friend greg anderson. >> eric: it's 4:36 now. there is new twist in a scandal involving a former top state drug agent. a family killed in a has a ruling that the 29-year-old's killing. an appeal made by the family accuses other officers at the scene of the task force says they will be charged with felonies. in february, walsh and a private investigator were arrested on drugs and weapons charges accused of stealing drugs. it has put several drug cases in question.
