for tax reform joining us for that is anastasia, global investment strategist at jp morgan private bank here on set is samief investment strategist at cfra you work for that guy from ohio, the attorney -- that's different than the cf -- you are at cfra >> a company known for forensic accounting as well as the traditional wealth management research >> and what does all that expert teeds -- we'll get to you in just a minute, anastasia what does all that tell you about the current state of the equity markets i mean, it's a global synchronized economic expansion along with strong earnings with the fed that might be a tightening and with tax reform on the horizon have i got everything, or are there other things to think about too? >> you are absolutely right, but i think a lot of people do worry about tightening, and they say, oh, the fed is creating an environment something like edson gould used to talk about three steps and it's done, et cetera i think people forget that traditionally the fed funds rate is 1.3% above the rate of inflation, which means if this were a normal environment, we would be seeing fed

for example, you got morgan stanley mike wilson who put out a 12 month, 2750 target, 6% higher than now. that's pretty okay cfra samvall is predicting a percent or so higher from here, not raging bulls tony dwyer thinks 2800, that's about 8%, which is more on the bullish side jonathan gall at credit suisse, one of the higher targets so far early on in the season, 2875, close to 10% higher than here. it is not exactly like what wall street thought at the end of 2016 but the feeling is there bull, but not full bull. now it is worth noting early on, among the folks who got it pretty close to right at the end of last year, calling this year end, then rbc's jonathan gallub, why are wall street's pay predictors more bullish on the market after not generally being bullish enough about this year it might be that we're poised to have our seventh positive year in the last nine with only flat to very slight declines in those two other years. and double digit or very close to double digit increases during those seven years as well. it is fair to say that developments out of washington will be a big part of the story in the com
