sabrina meteorologist sam schrier joins us again with a look at your forecast. sam weather adlib: iowa has this whole, lack of an ocean problem, so we don't ever get hurricanes. but sometimes, like today, we do get hurricane leftovers to swing all the way up from the gulf and give us a few good showers! it is going to be a cloudy day with plenty of rain expected throughout the afternoon and evening with deep moisture moving in from the south. i'm expecting the metro capable of seeing between 0.5" to 1" of rain throughout the day and night with eastern iowa likely seeing between 1" and 2" of rain throughout several places. we are going to dry out as we keep moving the evening, but one or two left over showers may still be falling early wednesday morning in far eastern iowa. highs today are only going to be in the mid 50s with lows tonight falling into the mid 40s. temps will stay parked firmly in the 50s through the week and into saturday, but we do have a nice treat in the forecast with highs sunday back into the 60s and possibly a 70 early next week! right now t
