meteorologist sam schrier joins us again with a look at your forecast. sam weather adlib: we are looking at a mostly sunny and cold day with windy conditions lasting through the evening. our snow has stopped from last night leaving most of central iowa with about 1 to 1.5 inches, but even that little amount has left some roads in poor shape. the sun will be out today so even though our highs will be in the low 20s we may still melt a bit of that snow off some of the side walks. tonight we'll be mostly clear with very deep and arctic air slamming down over the metro. our lows tonight should bottom out near -3 degrees with wind chills below -10 degrees across the metro and likely colder to the north. we're going to see clouds return saturday only allowing us to warm up into the mid teens. snow is still looking fairly likely saturday night into valentines day morning, however the track of the snow may have shifted east a bit. the metro now looks to get roughly 1 to 2 inches and eastern iowa has a better chance of seeing 2 to 4 inches. next week will start a
