samadi, does it make a difference if you're a man or a woman? doesn't make much of a difference. this is a bread-and-butter urology work. could be microscopic where you don't see it, but your doctor can test in the office and see it, or in this particular case the patient sees the blood. you wake up in the morning, you see the blood. it's anxiety induced. kidney, ureter, bladder. it could be some sort of a kidney infection, or bladder infection. both in men and women. or it could be a kidney stone or bladder stone. those are the different diagnoses. as a cancer doctor, that i worry about, it could be kidney cancer or bladder cancer. this patient will come in, we check the urine for urinalysis, for urine culture to make sure there's no infection. you send in for cytology. more important, with a camera, i can look in the bladder and find is there any stone in the bladder, is there any bladder cancer. you want to know that, because we can clean this up and also for kidney stone, what we use in noncontrast cat scan, to find out if there's a kidney s
