leonard samadi. thanks for joining us doctor. what is alcohol poisoning?hol poisoning is basically when you have large amount of alcohol in your system, it poisons your system. and usually liver, which is the main organ that acts as a filter to really take care of this alcohol, gets oversaturated. what happens when you put too much alcohol in your system, liver gives up and can't really take over and a lot of that alcohol ends up in your blood. that's why you would have the blood alcohol concentration, which we'll talk about. the statistic and maybe we can put it demographic up again. i think this is a serious business. six people die from this alcohol poisoning every day. you see basically the middle aged men 75% of them are men. 25% women. this is serious business. we want you to be aware of this. the main cause is binge drinking and it is up on the rise. 38 million americans report binge drinking at least four times a month, which is incredible incredible. for women, they should be taking about four drinks in an occasion or for men five drinks on occasi

samadi, should he or she worry? >> i think taking vitamins is important for people who really don't have a complete baseline and they are not getting their minerals and nutrients. if you are always on the go, if you are under a lot of stress, if you are not sleeping well, if you don't have time to eat healthy food then i think it is a good idea to get supplements. i think part of the problem is sometimes we think more ismerier, we overdo with it the vitamins and that's a huge mistake because they can change the rhythm and the cells' communications and you can create cancers. for example, we said vitamin e is great for you, then later on we found out too much causes prostate cancer. vitamin a is great for your eyes, too much in smokers can cause problems. i think this is a very fine line as to how much you take and how much you don't take. given the fact our food has a lot of fat, sugar, and salt, then i think you need to be careful about having a good nutritionist, having a good dietician. if you are getting adequat

david samadi, professor of hofstra school and a member of the a-team. why the reason for the outbreak? >> a huge concern and if you remember, 2000 and 2001 we said it's the end of this outbreak. now, a lot of the kids are not getting vaccinated. so out of 32 out of 39 cases nobody got vaccinations. sometimes you need a booster, so some of the people who have been vaccinated they needed to have some boosters. but the huge problem is either because of religious studies or the theory it may cause autism, which is a huge mistake, people are not getting the vaccines. we were done with measles. ten years ago that was the end of the outbreak. before vaccination, and now we're back in again. or either from the southern border a lot of the kids are coming in that haven't been vaccinated. they're getting in and spreading it to other kids. >> let's talk about it for those avoiding vaccination how dangerous. >> i think it's quite dangerous. i would love for people to come on my twitter and have a chat. i would love to learn exactly what religion bans you from getti
