samantha wool, a synagogue leader in detroit was found outside her home stabbed to death. police say it is still unclear what the motive or circumstances were surrounding her murder. joining me now is marino taylor, former co-worker and friend of samantha wool. i'm so sorry for your loss and the community's loss as well. what was she like? >> i appreciate that, anderson. just want to first and foremost say my thoughts and prayers go out to sam's thoughts and friends. she was such a bright light in our community and had done so much to contribute to the revitalization to the city of detroit. sam was -- she was energetic. she always had that bright smile that you're showing now. she greeted everybody with love, compassion and she really led -- she was someone who embodied her values. >> how did you get -- you were a co-worker. how did you get to know her? >> yep. we worked last year on re-election campaign. she was the political director, i was the field director. we spent a lot of time on the road together, staffing events and, you know, in the campaign world, you get to be like family. and sam was like a little sister to me. and so, this is just shocking. i'm still kind of numb. i think many of
