now sampson county seeing the heaviest downpours this morning. i'll bring you into a closer look into cumberland county. fayetteville that brief break. the heavy rain is moving in. you're still seeing some downpours. not only is the heavy rain a concern but all of this cloud to ground lightning and this has been ongoing since we went on the air at 4:30 this morning. this is moving through and a quarter of rain per hour. certainly something that's the most surprising this morning. the rainfall totals across the northern portions of cumberland county. some rainfall totals as high as 9 inches. 9.4. very similar totals expected across portions of hoke county. the southern portions much lighter. this is really focused up towards the spring lake progress. 74 at 10 a.m. this rain will gradually move east. 76 at noon. if we see enough of a break in the cloud cover, we could see more storms develop later today with a high near 80. so here's what this looks like on our future forecast. ongoing storms. drifting off to the east by noon today. still a lingerin
