i am a third generation san franciscan who does not live in the city of san francisco. my grandfather was also a veteran, and he drove a city bus for the city of san francisco and could afford to buy a home with my grandmother who was a sales woman at macy's. my father now drives the trolley cars in san francisco, and i, as someone who is the beneficiary of their hard work, was able to go to georgetown using my g.i. bill but can't afford to buy a house in san francisco. so this issue of how to keep san franciscans in san francisco is something that i feel very passionate about, and i'm excited to become a part of the commission to talk about how to create a pathway to ensure that when veterans leave and go fight for their country, that they have a place to truly come home to. i hear that there's also a concern about making sure that commissioners come. i just want to say that i've been hanging out at club v.a. commission for a long time. my good friend, dotty guy used to be a commissioner. so i'm looking forward to hopefully not just being a visitor to the club but actu
