hello, san francisco. it's a beautiful sunny day here, and the fog has lifted, perhaps like the collective proverbial covid fog that we've all been stuck in the last year. my name is karen flood, and i'm the executive director of the union square business district, and we're so pleased to see you today, and so many visitors. we have missed you all. we have missed the visitors and the workers in union square who come here to dine in our fine restaurants and stay in our beautiful hotels and dine in our shops. but we know they will be back, and we know that mayor breed has been focused in this last year on keeping us safe and healthy, and we appreciate that. she's been laser focused on making sure that everybody is healthy and distancing and we are getting vaccinated, so excellent job, mayor breed. let's head to the south bay, here is a look at our high for san jose, reaching 84 degrees, and east sanse will top out at about 85 there. there will be some low 90s for the east bay, just not as many as yesterday. so we'll see a high of 91 in antioch and you'll feel a little bit better in martinez, reaching 84. oakland really gets to cooling across the bay with a high of 70 today, and we only stay in the upper 50s along the immediate coastline so daly city sees a high of 58 degrees. we'll see upper 70s for palo alto and redwood city. in san francisco, some mid-60s and sonoma today will reach 84 degrees. so we do still have high pressure but it's moving on. it's going to make way for some cooler temperatures and storms to pass to the north of us. and then as we go into the weekend, just starts to heat back up again so we do have a lot of changes ahead, two days of some spring-like weather and then it heats up for the weekend. take a look at our valley forecast, for spots like gilroy and santa rosa reaching into the mid-70s for tomorrow and on friday but the weekend we're reaching back in

here in san francisco. the team includes two san francisco natives who are creating the show. gypsy, child of the founders of pickle family circus, they ran off to join cirque du soleil and think haven't been able to come home. this is their first opportunity to create a project in the city of san francisco and to return. they've been looking for a space for years. club fugazi was the first time it came together. we think of san francisco as much as an idea as the geography. we are as interested in the myth of the place as in the physical plant of the space. it's this myth of myth and magic, we want our show to recreate on stage. circus does not tell story through tech. it's not a verbal form. it tells more like in the manner of dance. it's an emotional art. it's through tableau and the human body as opposed through the voice. we still expect this experience to deliver us kind of love letter to san francisco. we start from the premise that our city has been dealt a series of blows over long period of time n

you see 80 in san mateo, but just 69 in san francisco 65 out of the coast, so we're relatively clear tonight. out there that little blip on the radar. you see, it's just a little burger. just little noise. it's not actually rain. that would be nice, but no such luck. current temperatures right now you can see where we're hanging on to that heat brentwood right now. still it's 70 degrees at this hour certainly were much cooler out of half moon bay where it's 50 degrees, so. kind of fifties around the bay and then a little bit warmer as you head inland wind is relatively calm right now. this is some good news. we've seen some decent recovery as we're getting into the later evening hours, and that goes for a relative humidity levels as well. take a look at this. we were talking, you know 20% 18% and now a 47% conquered. that's pretty good. so unfortunately, that does not last as we get into tomorrow, so we didn't have that red flag warning that goes as i mentioned until tuesday at six pm because we do have of offshore winds, low humidity and inland heat. and unfortunately, as we kick in

we're following developing news in san jose. we're police are at the scene tonight of a double shooting that left at least one person dead. it happened just after eight o'clock on east santa clara street near south 19th street. police say the two men were found with gunshot wounds. one of the victims died. we don't know yet what led up to the shooting, but video from the scene shows at least one vehicle with gunshot holes through its windshield. so far, police have not announced any arrests. a bar owner in sama. king county is under arrest tonight, accused of selling fake covid-19 vaccination cards. the california department of alcoholic beverage control says todd andersen was selling the cards for $20 each of the old corner saloon in clement's. the abc was first tipped off by the sam a king county sheriff's department. then they sent undercover agents to the bar to buy the fake laminated cards. and then yesterday they arrested anderson during a raid that we know of. this is the only. case that's ever been done even nationwide.
