the san francisco ferry building. [applause] in the 19th century, commuters and visitors traveled by train or ferry or both. a ferry terminal on the waterfront downtown was a practical necessity. it was the sfo of its day. grand central station. but as we so often do, san francisco built a practical space a world class beauty, with a 245 foot clock tower along arched arcade, and a interior worthy of a renaissance cathedral. at the foot of market street, a beautiful bridge from water to land, the ferry building announced to every commuter, every traveller, this is san francisco. you have arrived. until that is, [applause] until that is, in the late 1930's when two new bridges the bay and golden gate and rise of the automobile made the ferry building seem outdated and unwanted. soon the grand interior converted to drab cuneals cubicles and in a act of urban planning catastrophes only the 1950 could respond, a double-decker slicing it from the city it served. for decades, this great landmark was isolated. nearly forgotte

since 1927, we've used san francisco international airport or san francisco airport throughout most of we've had these trademarks for so long that they're incontestable under federal law, and so from our perspective of, if oakland chooses to move forward with its proposal, we will have no choice but to pursue legal action to prevent the misuse of our trademarks. >> so you're saying the trademark of sfo essentially equals san francisco international airport, or using the word san francisco in an airport name? >> we've had federal trademarks registered to us for san francisco international airport as well as sfo. from our perspective, oakland's proposal appears intentionally designed to divert travelers who may be unfamiliar with bay area geography and also lead them to believe that oakland airport has a business relationship with sfo, which it doesn't. and from our perspective, yeah, from our perspective, the clear similarity and the very high likelihood of confusion gives us strong federal trademark infringement and trademark dilution claims. this is a real and clear infringement on sf

san jose police made the arrest last month. this week the victim filed a complaint against the school district. >> our amanda hari spoke with the victim's lawyer and sister about her fight. >> reporter: the victim who is listed as jane doe on the criminal complaint says she went to the dean when she was 15 and says she did nothing. now she wants to hold the school district accountable for what happened. >> it has impacted every facet of her life. >> reporter: lauren cerri is the attorney representing the victim in this case. she says she met the victim about a month ago. since then she learned everything about her case. >> she was 15 years old. she did something very brave and something that took a lot of strength and courage and she reported it. she was very clear about it that mr. thomas was having sex with her at 14 and 15 years old. she was a freshman in high school. this is 2003. >> reporter: cerri was given leigh high school year books from the victim. there's a photo of the suspect, shawn thomas, both a teacher and a coa
