right now we're live along mountainhouse road, white between san andreas and mountain ranch road. you can see a fire crew at this home, been standing by just as we've watched flareups. take a look at some of the video we shot about 100 yards down the road from where we are. and this is the good news -- the good news, while there's still fire burning, it's much less intense than it has been over the last several days on the butte fire in am ma door and -- amador and calaveras counties. they've made good progress on the fire due to light winds and higher humidities and they expect the smoke to clear. those are all good signs as containment has been bumped up 30%. this is a fire that's burned 200 homes and structures as we come back out here live, i do want to point out the smoke. smoke has been an issue throughout this entire fire. it's making me hoarse this morning. you will notice the clouds. while that normally wouldn't be a big deal, it means the smoke is lifting. visibility is getting better and crews say they are expecting the smoke to continue to lift here so much so it will

the office of emergency services has set up an operation center in san andreas. not even had fire insurance including this couple. >> we'll be okay but there are others that won't. i can't imagine. now it is 91% contained. at least two people died in that fire. >>> uc berkeley police are looking for two men suspected of sexually assaulting a woman on campus. the woman says she was hanging out with the two men wednesday night. they offered to walk her home but when they entered the campus, police say the men attacked her. the woman reportedly knew one of the suspects prior to the attack. one of the men is described as latino or white between 23 and 29 years old. he has dark eyes, collar length curly brown hair and wearing a baseball hat and yellow top and red pants at the time. the other suspect is described in his 30s. he was wearing all black and carrying a backpack. >>> spark charter school in sunnyvale could reopen today. they determined that the school had failed to complete background checks for all of its employees. the county started looking into the issue
