what are you seeing on your way down to the san bernardino county? >> traffic is not too bad -- not too much of an issue, trying to gather as much as we can while we're on the road, the forest service in the last 10 minutes provided an update on the fire. 10:30 this morning. two firefighters have suffered minor injuries in the fire. fire imminent threat to rail traffic, railroads in that area as well as homes. firefighters in the initial attack phase on this fire. they've already assigned 500 people to work this fire. right now they're saying their main concerns is the continued hot weather and the winds in this area. we can tell in this area that there are lots of gusty winds, as we've been heading down the road, as we're trying to make our way to this fire. as we've seen in the live pictures from abc7, it is burning in heavy brush, thick greenery that can burn for a long time there. firefighters are still in the initial attack phase. 500 firefighters already assigned to the fire, expect that number to be growing throughout the night as they continu

san bernardino, there's no help. 60s, 70s, 80s. the smoke though -- thank goodness, it's not a santa ana wind. if they had a northeast wind that would be really the worst case scenario. it's pretty bad and hot. 80s, 90s, 100, and the breeze picks up later. very steep, tough terrain for the firefighters. that's the focus here. really just pretty hot temps and low humidity. thunderstorms have finally developed over the sierra. missing in action here for the longest time since early june. july was quiet. sunny and warm. and now we're seeing some of these that could drift back. and a few of the clouds are drifting back to eastern napa, contra costa county. the delta breeze is not there. 50s and 60s on the temps. on the peninsula, upper 50s and lowe 60s. belmont 58. 41 in truckee. 56 ukiah. and associated with a little low that's triggering some of that. and also a little system moving down might enhance the fog bank a teeny bit to take off one or 2 degrees. 60s, 70s, 80s, and again, the 90s. amazing how relentless this is for some. sig
