anne makovec is in san bruno with the details. the lawsuit, filed by san francisco city attorney dennis herrera, says the "u-s pipeline and recovering this morning after a car hit a san francisco house. it happened around 9:30 last night at 43-rd and balboa. the plastic wrap shows where the car hit the residence. paramedics transported one person from the scene. no one else was hurt. investigators think it will take at least a month to recover all the remains from a burila site in the san joaquin valley. they've recovered more than one thousand bones and bone fragments from sites in san joaquin and calaveras counties. most of the work is being done near the town of linden. that's where wesley shermantine and loren herzog grew up. they're believed to have been involved in a number of murders in the 1980s and 90s. ... and allegedly dumped murder victims at sites that are now being searched. shermantine provided information leading to the search sites. the remains will be sent to the department of justice crime lab for d-n-a analysis.
