they would include routes like the bay shore, san bruno, 19th avenue, stockton, with the remaining being implemented between fiscal years 6920. there are projects that are not addressed in the proposal because we have larger agency efforts working on them which includes market street, a jury, of van ness -- ger -- geary and van ness. we have really had an opportunity to reduce travel time across the rapid network. the service improvements are the second largest set of initiatives that the implementation strategy addresses. these would occur over a key the state budget cycles. we estimate now that the changes would represent about a 5-10% increase in operating dollars. the reason that this is an increase in service hours and not budget neutral have to do with all of this service reductions that we saved since the original proposals were developed. the frequency changes are flexible enough that they could be modified based on the resources we have. for example, while the plan calls for the 22 fell more to improve, if there was less available, we could have a seven minute headway. -- while

san bruno. northbound side of 280 at san bruno avenue.of the road. chp has issued a traffic alert. traffic very slow through that area. 101 looking better. that's a good alternate. still clearing an accident westbound 80 at hilltop, it's on the right shoulder but at appian way a new wreck blocking lanes traffic backed up to 4. 24 miles an hour the slowest speeds in the area. south bay not too bad friday light on northbound 280. that's a look at traffic. here's lawrence with the forecast. >> weather looking pretty good, gianna. looks like a couple of great days ahead. high pressure in control now but a lot of clouds over the top of the ridge so we have a neat start to the day around the bay area. you will see that all day long and mild temperatures outside. plan on about 71 degrees in san jose today with some partly cloudy skies. 68 in fremont. the same in vallejo. more clouds toward the north bay. even a slight chance we could see a few light showers northern sonoma county. otherwise looking good. that's the way we're going to play it for

it will be held at 5:00 at the san bruno senior center on crystal springs road near connor avenue. >>> this morning the federal aviation administration is set to issue an emergency order for additional inspections on older boeing 737s. nicole collins is live in our washington d.c. newsroom with more on how all of this is effecting passengers. what's the very latest this morning, nicole? >> reporter: pam, we expect to hear the safety directive from the f.a.a. some time today basically mandating operators of about 175 older 737s inspect those aircraft for wear and tear and with very good reason. these planes, these 175 737s have taken off and landed roughly 30,000 times. and this directive comes after the lodge of a southwest plane tore mid flight last week exposing a five foot long hole that was one foot wide. that plane did not have outstanding safety issues. it was inspected back in march of 2010. so there's a problem here with the inspections. when these inspections are done they're done visually on this particular area of the fuel sill lodge. what the f.a.a. is calling for is that

san bruno police are investigating a killing in the city last night that left one man dead. officers found the unidentified man around 10:30 a.m. lying on the ground in the 400 block of cypress avenue. police say he appeared to have suffered traumatic injuries. 4-year-old nicholas vargas of san bruno was arrested in connection with the killing. police have not yet released any information regarding a possible motive. >>> there was a wild police pursuit this morning that ended with a crash on the peninsula. the chase ended at broadway and el camino real and burlingame after the suspect fled from san mateo officers. it's 3409 clear what he slammed in to -- it's not clear what he slammed into. it appears the right rear wheel was damaged. the pursuit began around 8:30, when the police noticed he was driving erratically. we heard reports he was driving at high rates of speed and at one point he was driving in the wrong direction against traffic. authorities are looking into why he was driving this way. the driver said it was due to a medical issue. he was taken to a trauma issue with injuries that are not life- threatening. >>> the giants and police are stepping up security at at&t park
