san francisco. and the district 6 version said paid for by san franciscans for change, major funding by progress san francisco. i think all of us in this room know who are behind that committee, but most regular people would have no reason to know. two big things. number one, it will require the dollar amount of the donors to be listed, so that voters get more than a name and an actual piece of data that they can use to say -- to ask if they wish, who's really behind this and what's their agenda. and more importantly, it pierces the shell of fake name committees like that by requiring that progress san francisco in this example, the top two donors to that committee would also have to be listed, and the amount of money they gave to that committee. in addition, the font will have to be bigger and some other cleanup ts

[applause] >> thank you. i'm the executive director of the san francisco bicycle coalition. on behalf of our over 10,000 members, i would like to recognize and thank director ed reiskin for your service to the city, and in particular, to your service for people who bike in the city. much has been made about the difficulty of this role, and i know it has been my job to not make your job easier, but to make it more difficult at times, but i do want to say that i have always respected your commitments and never doubted your values in this role, and that while we sometimes have to push, i always knew that you would be a receptive listener, and i do appreciate that you have peddled the talk in a very fashionable, hi visibility, fluorescent green safety vest. one of my favorite biking accessories that i have seen out on the streets of san francisco. thank you for your service. i do think civil-service too often goes unrecognized, and directors, you will have a difficult job ahead of you in selecting a replacement. thank you. san franciscan for sports and recreation. it is the organization that was formed in 2015 to help save the san francisco tennis club. as a longtime member of the sanancisco tennis community, i was quite skeptical of this project initially. the reality is that the project is doing the right thing from the beginning. early on, the project sponsors and san franciscans for sports and recreations reached an it -- mou for the provision of off-site interim tennis courts during project construction. also providing for advanced public benefits in the form of grants to public recreation throughout san francisco. to date, funding for this project has provided $1.864 million in public recreation grants to san francisco. some of the enhancements include the refurbishing of 15 public tennis courts at six different locations, throughout the city, including goldengate heights, musk only recreation center, marina, mclaren park, bonavista park, numerous others with four new court scheduled to be resurfaced with new nets replaced later this year, and early next year respectively. there was a $400,000 gift to the learning center in the recreation room at golden gate

those are the things that are necessary to make sure that san francisco is a more affordable place for all san franciscansof all income levels. we have work to do, folks. the good news is that in this particular efforts, they basically kept their eyes open and saw that this was an incredible opportunity for the small sight acquisition program. in fact, even though we are celebrating 86 units here, we know that number one, we have almost -- we have acquired almost 300 unit so far through this program, there's another 110 in the pipeline, which is absolutely incredible. i am really excited about the future of this program, but a more excited about the 600 million-dollar affordable housing bond on the ballot this november. san franciscans help address costly housing issues in san francisco. thank you. >> thank you. next speaker, please. >> hello, commissioners. my name is linda lightheiser. i'm a 20-year resident of district 11. i live very close to the proposed site and i'm well aware of all the issues that have been addressed under this proposal adds a trial basis. i'm very much in favor of this project. i think it's an interesting project that addresses a lot of issues that for years now many of our citizens and city officials have been throwing up their hands about how do we do something about homelessness. this is in my back yard and i do appreciate the opportunity to try something new. we have some interesting comments that came up at the two public meetings. i attended both of them, along with my husband. i feel that the issue of public safety was the one that drew the most concern from our citizens. i think that this proposal has done everything possible, both working with the san francisco police department and other city agencies to address those concerns for those citizens. i'm hopeful that you will approve this project. thank you. >> thank you. i have more speaker cards. >> good afternoon, commissioners. i'm the president of the district 11 club but also a resident who lives very close to this project. i do use the babalo transit center quite often including the park as well. i think this project has been very thoughtful and well-planned by the staff and everyone involved. it was done in broad coalition. i appreciate the supervisor's work. i appreciate the work of the coalition of homelessness on this as well. i know c.o.h. has been working on this since 2012. this is long-needed to happen in san francisco. i wish san francisco was the first in the country to do this, but i'm very happy that district 11 can be a first in san francisco to do this. i would encourage you to not only encourage this project but also encourage more projects in more neighborhoods.

san franciscan faces: the cost of doing business in san francisco. in efforts to stream line processes and increase access to the permit process, we've gun digitizing the per -- we've begun digitizing the permit process. we've worked in partnership with mayor breed to create the formation of the special events committee. i'm proud of our efforts to create funding opportunities to create small businesses with technical assistance, and i'm also proud of our efforts to update the good neighborhood policy. i'm deeply committed to defining and designing safe inclusive and culturally forming spaces of night life and culture. last weekend, i attended the undiscovered creative night market and experienced a transformation of a market alley into a market of light. i was that little girl who watched and learned from their community as they claimed and created social spaces. today i continue this this tradition as a public servant, protecting, promoting our spaces that serve our community. >> supervisor walton: thank you, miss caminong. do you have any questions? thank you. i will now call up domingo williams. >> my name is domingo williams. i, too, am a san francisco native. born and raised here in the city and had the opportunity, ample opportunity to go to college in las vegas, nevada and play in athletics. once leaving that particular setting, i then returned home and immediately began work in the private sector. not being fulfilled with that, i transitioned to civil service. currently a sergeant with the san francisco police department. i'm a sergeant in the business crimes unit, which you can imagine is a busy unit. what drove me on that is access. access for people that don't feel they have opportunity to engage with city organizations such as the police department. that moved me to seeking a greater capacity within the city and looking to the entertainment commission as a seat to engage with the city in. to me, it's important to be able to have entertainment that reflects the diversity that are san francisco and that creates san francisco, and unfortunately it doesn't seem that way consistent throughout the map. i currently reside

san francisco public utilities commission is doing. they're doing it because they feel they have a responsibility to san franciscans and to people in thiscommunity. it is a place where we can connect, where we can laugh, where we can talk about issues and politics, and 45 and kentucky and everything else. we can talk here and this is a good thing. we don't have any banks to wait in line anymore. you are in the bank used to talk to people about things, that is gone. walgreens, used to meet people at walgreens, well, that is gone , and so we have this and this is where we will connect. i want to thank all of you and i want to thank our partners. i want to think people who have a vision, you understand that, yes, while you are building in the programs, while you are building the sewage plant, there were other things. there are other places and people around you, and that these people have come to the conclusion that is part of their responsibility to help us live and thrive in this community. i want to thank the p.u.c. and i want to thank all of those people who helped make this possible. and now i get introduced one of my most favorite pe
