and that's not how you know, at least in san francisco, that's how san franciscans want to treat problem. they're there is like you said i remember in the early nineties uh, those of us who were covering this issue wrote a lot about compassion. that was that mean in the eighties there was a big push. once homelessness had become a crisis, there was a big push to try to address it, uh, and it didn't go away because all the factors, that lead to it haven't been adequately addressed national mental health care, wages, housing, poverty so there was compassion fatigue and then toward the late nineties there was okay, there was another push to, to create more supportive housing. and then in the early 2000s, there was more, uh, there was more attention to, to housing and street outreach. and then, uh, you came along with veterans and hud bash or hud vash and, and just regular section eight housing vouchers were ramped up. um, there's always pushback for spending money on those, those issues, which i think is a tragic push me pull. you know, we make some progress and then funding gets cut or fun

it's and we're trying to do our best to keep things going at a level of of quality that we think san franciscans deserve. thank you, larry. thank you. first want to thank antonio and his team for taking this task up. it's not an easy one. i know we have some hard decisions to make so thank you guys for all your hard work putting this together. but i do have some questions and probably comments so give me some clarifications on a few things. so in the budget we want to raise the green fees for golf and we're also going to put an rfp out for golf courses. which ones? all five i think still is still in policy development and i kind of think a couple of the folks that came to public comment are absolutely right. there needs to be a business plan and some analysis. we were further along than i think people think because lincoln and sharpe and a few of our courses apart from harding in particular you know have been on long term month to month leases and we have dana ketchum and her team have been exploring the feasibility of different types of arrangements to to make those management agreements or lea
