which is rare in san francisco. and also cal-trans study shows car traffic failed to materialize, which it is important to note considering the debate regarding removing the central freeway no increase car traffic but with both embarcadero and octavia we found car drivers looked to streets and navigate without the freeway. i included this picture it is a picture of the embarcadero before the freeway removal. which is crazy because different i looked into the issue i never knew this beautiful space could be a freeway for cars. so then our recommendations are there is already a clause in the san francisco general plan that urges cal-trans to study the removal of the freeway, we urge the board of supervisors to urge cal-trans to complete the study and secondly, we need funding for the study. so we want the board to look into grants in order first study to be completed. and lastly we want to ensure the voices are centered when we talk about freeway removal. we know is a controversial issue. we want to ensure that the bo

this is so many wonderful things happening in san francisco. i feel very fortunate and very humble to live here and to be part of this wonderful place. >> i don't think you need to be an expert to look around and see the increasing frequency of fires throughout california. they are continuing at an ever-increasing rate every summer, and as we all know, the drought continues and huge shortages of water right now. i don't think you have to be an expert to see the impact. when people create greenhouse gases, we are doing so by different activities like burning fossil fuels and letting off carbon dioxide into the atmosphere and we also do this with food waste. when we waste solid food and leave it in the landfill, it puts methane gas into the atmosphere and that accelerates the rate at which we are warming our planet and makes all the effects of climate change worse. the good news is there are a lot of things that you can be doing, particularly composting and the added benefit is when the compost is actually applied to the soil, it has the ability

world water day, one of our san francisco free day was around san francisco water day. as part of the day, we encouraged our guest to make a pledge to save water at home and for their pledge they can spin a wheel to win a variety of prizes. world water day was designated in 1993 to bring awareness to communities that do not have access to safe water. after the success of our first bilingual program, we rolled out our spring bilingual camp starting on april 1th. the camp features camp leaders that age kids in spanish, creating journals and playing and exploring around the zoo. two daytime sessions offered to the community in early may. lobo week, each year in the march, the return of the gray wolf of mexico is celebrated. this year marks the 25th anniversary of their first reintroduction when the rarest of the wolf the gray wolf species was down to just 5 individuals in 1976. san francisco participates in the u.s. fish examine woild life program. today there is 240 lobos roaming the western united states. as part of the celebratory week, we active violated wolves on our
