[applause] and it is actually mostly not san francisco, la, we are like legislators from all over the state from the central valley, inland empire and san diego, an amazing beautiful tapestry of our community and tapestry of california. even though we know so much hate directed at the community is happening in other states, unforch tunately it is here in california too and we know we have school boards in particular, very conservative areas demonizing and attacking our lgbtq youth in ways that are so so dangerous and so, about a week ago, our caucus, the 12 of us we said, not on our watch and we introduced legislation to ban these forced outing policies school boards are starting. [applause] because we know that for all of us, a lot of experience in this room in terms of coming out, in terms of when, if, how someone comes out to their parents, that is our decision and no one else's damn business and we'll make that clear in the law of the state of california. [applause] but as we fight all the nasty people out there who are trying to harm us and we'll beat them and we are going to win

with sand the way that san francisco was and when you look at a map of san francisco have a unique streetd one of the thing is those streets started off in extremely long piers. but by 1875 they know they needed more so the ferry building was built and it was a long affair and the first cars turned around at the ferry building and picking up people and goods and then last night the street light cars the trams came to that area also. but by the late 1880s we needed something better than the ferry building. a bond issue was passed for $600,000. to build a new ferry building i would say 800 thousand for a studio apartment in san francisco they thought that was a grand ferry building had a competition to hire an architecture and choose a young aspiring architect and in the long paris and san francisco had grand plans for this transit station. so he proposed the beautiful new building i wanted it wider, there is none tonight. than that actually is but the price of concrete quitclaim two how and was not completed and killed. but it opened a greater claim and became fully operational before 1898

i'm san francisco, 911 dispatcher for san francisco.ervisor safaÍ for presenting this charter amendment and thank the board of supervisors for consistently supporting san francisco. 911, thank you for the dispatchers who've taken their time off. our minimum time off to show up and support this charter amendment. this room would probably be full with dispatchers, but as you know, we have to keep the city safe. we're working on a staffing shortage. there's a lot of mandated overtime that's been given to dispatchers, as you know, the department, the city always gives a excuse that across the united states, there's a shortage of dispatchers. we're concerned that we don't want to fall into, like oakland, california, where federal funding is going to be denied due to this, the call answering standards not being, answered correctly and timely, we're asking this charter amendment of public safety as a way to incentivize and retain dispatchers. it's already hard enough to bring them on board now to hire them. and the fallout rate is more than 50

there were 75 in downtown san francisco. obviously plenty warm up in nevada where to 97 degrees. 92 in san jose, even 90 in hayward like right around the bay. but it's that inner east bay that is still kind of hanging on to the warmest temperatures today. so let's talk about the records. livermore. one 10 broke a record from 2001 sandra fell got up to 100. that also broke a record from 2001. we had plenty other triple digit numbers there. but those are the 2 records. so we are still under red flag warning. obviously, this brings danger with you could make sure you're taking precautions, especially as we head into this evening you know, said it before. i'll say it again. we've got to help our firefighters out by being smart. so as we take a look at the north bay, that red flag warning for the coastal mountains is going to be through 05:00am on friday. so through tomorrow morning and the interior hills and mountains are going to be 09:00pm on saturday. that's the same story with the inner east today and also with the santa cruz
