renewed hope tonight for the future of san francisco city college. as kron 4's dan kerman reports, san francisco's city attorney is questioning the integrity of the agency that made the decision. law. sf city college lawsuit 082213 the sign outside san emphasizes the school is open and accredited. but for how much longer? if san francisco city has filed a lawsuit against accjc, the agency that colleges accreditation next year, hererra says the decision, which could shutdown the college which is home to 85 thousand students. was politically strike it down dennis herrera/ s.f. city attorney 33-43 herrera says city college and the a-c-c-j-c were on opposite sides of a political battle in the state legislature over the city college ?s vision is one of open access for many types of students , but he says the accjc favors more restrictive policies focusing on degree completion, like a junior college. herrera is not alone in his contempt for the accjc. just last week the u.s. department of education said the agency violated numerous federal guidelines during its review
