a new survey released last week by the san francisco travel association ranged historic buildings and architecture as the city's number one culture attribute among eight categories tested. seven of the top ten most interesting san francisco attractions are historic resources. the city's unparallels historic character play aid role in attracting the region's economy. we remember scores of apartment buildings were converted to workable and living spaces for high-tech start-ups. the multimedia gulch remains a mega center in the city. i would like to briefly respond to some of the policy areas identified for discussion today, specifically two of the areas when discussed earlier by representatives of city agencies. in terms of affordable housing, it's worth noting that san francisco has the highest concentration of historic single room occupancy hotels in the country. the lower knob hill, national hotel registrar district and upper tenderloin district include over 700 historic contributing buildings. these districts were strongly saw ported -- supported by and introduced by the developers as a means to provide access to ec

the coast with numbers in the 50s throughout the afternoon. right now 52 redwood city as well as half moon bay. 49 san francisco as well as fremont and livermorethe coolest numbers to the north. napa in the mid-40s. we are looking at numbers from 2 to 4 degrees cooler than yesterday. so with a little bit of a breeze today, anywhere from 10 to 20 miles an hour out of the northwest. the average highs are coming down and we will be once again below normal. cloudy around oakland and san francisco but elsewhere sunshine, breezy and cooler today. we will look for the numbers not to recover really until tuesday with minor fluctuations day-to-day up and down. so starting out with a few clouds but by later on partly to mostly sunny. the 50s will remain firmly entrenched from the north and down to the santa cruz mountains but we will see more 60s around the bay and a few 70s returning to the far north bay. you have to really get into the central valley to warm up into those 80s. so still a series of troughs continue to affect the golden state yesterday and today and again tomorrow. with the weak disturbances to the north of us, we aren't look at any rai
