bay area news. something strange is happening in san francisco and along the coast. fish are falling from the sky. t is tied to an anchovy explosion on the coast and around the bay. images like this. they are landing in places like the -- turns out this is because of ocean temperatures bringing anchovies along the coast and into the bay. it is causing a buffet for the birds, they grab some, and they drop it. the end up flying in land and dropping the fish they don't eat. it is unusual animal behavior caused by the anchovies. bill, it is really odd for us, is it strange for you to do this for a living? >> i think it is an interesting phenomenon. it is not the first time we have seen it. in 2017, we sought anchovies being dropped from the sky by birds. there was massive anchovies by the shore. this year, with a couple years of cold water, that's what anchovies like. especially around broome county and san mateo. they're trying to take advantage of it. >> do you the -- can i grab the anchovies off the ground and put it on my pizza? so i wouldn't. it has been sitting out for a while. i think you want f
