i publish the san francisco bayview newspaper. i think we have heard all the bad things about the banks. i will not go into that. but what i will talk about is the discrimination the banks have in not loaning money, especially to people of color. i was fortunate enough to be working i section of the gas pipeline in north dakota. i opened up an account in that north dakota bank. that's one reason north dakota has the lowest unemployment rate in the country, because they not only is the bank there to help you, but they have insurance programs and funding programs to make sure the people, and there are some competition for the banks. there is no competition here for the banks. whatever they want to do, go ahead and do. if we had a municipal bank and a state bank and had competition for the banks who won't stop sitting on all that money. because that is the world's to go, they will start working with some of the people because they're not going to make no money just sitting on it. i think this is one of the best things we can do -- op

here to speak about this man, an outspoken community youth leader from the bayview hunters point neighborhood of san franciscod a week ago today, he was arrested. he was a victim of a political arrest. he was approached under serious pretext -- spurious pretext, where a couple of officers physically engage him. he is facing serious felony charges on an altercation that never needed to happen that was instigated by officers that is a direct result -- and we can show a history of this -- a direct result of harassment and police antagonism towards him based on his speaking out with a critical position on the true nature of the officer-involved shooting of kenneth harding. he has been traumatized, harassed, and arrested multiple times prior to this. no charges stop. no records. they targeted this man and this man's family, and we can provide a direct chain of evidence of this. this is political repression, so weak demand that he be released immediately -- we demand that he be released immediately. and if that is not possible, that his bail be reduced and the pressure be put on the va to reduce his bail to somethi
