say it clear welcome here on the steps of san francisco's city hall, supporters of sanctuary city policies rallied against any attempts to chip away at policies barring the city from cooperating with immigration officials, supervisor hillary ronen sponsored a resolution for the board to condemn recent attacks on sanctuary policies and called out a fellow supervisor supervisor. dorsey is seeking. to weaken our sanctuary ordinance. we are not going to let him do it. it's cynical. it won't help the problem. and it punishes people that are already victims of an unjust system. supervisor matt dorsey recently introduced new legislation, which would add fentanyl dealers to the list of criminals the city would consider cooperating with the federal government to prosecute supervisor dorsey saying since its inception, sanctuary city policies have had carve outs for heinous crimes and says, adding one more crime to the list of carve outs to save lives on san francisco streets is worth considering. if we are going to withdraw the protection of sanctuary from an undocumented immigrant for carjacking or

san francisco is so important. you know, people point the finger and criticize our city. but over the last two years we created over 3000 new placements for people who were living on the streets of san francisco. and you didn't hear it highly publicized, but san francisco was one of the few cities in the entire state of california that saw a 15.5% reduction in unsheltered homelessness. so while others are criticizing mercy and episcopal community services and so many other people who work here today. you represent part of the solution. you know what it means to show up for people. you know what it means to take a federal location location owned by the federal government used as a parking lot for cars and turn it into 258 new units right where parking cars used to be. you know what that means. it means hope. it means dignity. it means a new opportunity to change your life. for the better. and yes, it takes a village. it takes a village of not just the organizations, but the people who are choosing to work for these organizations, the people who are showing up to provide the

unfortunately san francisco is a progressive city, we still see this is occurring here in san francisco as well. it is not an out liar. the lbgtq+ youth received 5 bomb threats and online hate between april and december of 20 twoochl they with other lbgtq+ youth serving organization in san francisco formed the lbgtq+ coalition on safety to coordinate regarding safety measures and greater financial support and safety measures for their organizations. the coalition requested i grnlts of 350 thousand from the 23-24 budget for critical safety funding for their organizations. this would go to voting and improving technical and safety infrastructure. safety practices and system. will providing risk reduction. efforts to the organizations hiring communal ambassadors to support risk and safety assessments. hiring consultances to help build a mechanism for support of the organizations when they are a target for hate. and provide emergency funds support and security assistance to organizations under threat. for their work on lbgtq+ rights. that's why we are recommending that the board of supervis
