i'm the director of the san francisco bay chapter in the sierra club, we have 30 thousand members in alameda and san francisco county, we urge you to move forward. the contract that we are negotiating with shell, north america is for 100% california renewable standard energy as you know and it is i believe you'll see a letter in your packet that we're trying to put additional confines to encourage the use of union facilities energy production facilities. that is only a contract for 250 to 30 megawatts of energy, the initial vision of cleanpowersf is for almost 250 megawatts of energy, the entire load of the non-municipal build rinsing san francisco is over 500 megawatts of electricity consumption at its peak, there is a lot of room for this program to grow and where we want to take it is local renewable generation that creates good, green jobs, local green jobs. what we need to do is establish a rate base so that we have some leveraging ability to do that local build-out. your staff has done a good job of bringing the price down so people won't opt out of the program that people can afford to stay in, pg&e have reso

. >> reporter: san francisco county sheriff's department confirmed that michael montgomery was released. we do not know where he is. we've been out in front of the jail for 3 hours. it's possible he may have exited from a different location. michael montgomery is accused of stabbing 24-year-old jonathan denver to death. da says he doesn't have enough evidence to prosecute this case right now. they want to prove without a beyond a reasonable doubt that he's guilty. we spoke to a man in a holding cell with montgomery. he spoke to him briefly and he said that montgomery gave him a brief account of what happened on wednesday night. >> it was just a typical kind of riot situation at a sporting event. he was out numbered and had to defend himself. i had not read about it in the papers or heard it often the news. he seemed confident that it was self defense and he'd be coming through it okay. i don't know the back story so i can't say. >> reporter: michael montgomery's father said the same thing. after speaking with his son it appears to be self defense. that's still up in the air t.district a

he, in fact, has been the senior member of the consulate core here in the city and county of san francisco and he has been a leader not only in serving the mexican community in the city and county of san francisco, but in serving the entire latino community and quite frankly the community at large. we are extremely sad that carlos has been assigned to another post in the mexican foreign service and it's really hard to imagine the consulate core. it's really hard to imagine the latino community and the international community in san francisco functioning without ambassador felix. as consul general of mexico in san francisco, ambassador carlos felix held jurisdiction over 13 counties in northern california as well as the states of oregon, washington, alaska, and hawaii. during his time here, he has strengthened the bond between the u.s. and mexico with regards to trade, culture and tourism. he has actively promoted the merit kalt dialogue with major players in all levels of government here in san francisco, and has helped to effectively strengthen the understanding and cooperation between me
