my name is maggie weiland the director of the san francisco entertainment commission. i'm joined today by my colleague ben van houten from economic and workforce development. we are here to brief you on the police code reform legislation. this has been in the works for a few months. it was introduced by the mayor this summer and emerjed from the city administrator and entertainment goal to improve the customer experience process for our small businesses here in san francisco, particularly those that offer entertainment and night life experiences to our residents and to visitors and really to further simplify business processes and improve the regulatory coordination behind all those processes. that introduction went into a lot of nuance. we are here to break down any questions you might have. ben will be going over a lot of that in his presentation here in a moment, but wanted to provide background on the ledge sligz and why it is important. as you know, our small businesses have been struggling during the pandemic. they were the first to close from the health order th
