i am a medical director of the san francisco general hospital women's options center. thank you for inviting me to speak about the health consequences of abortion delight. i became a position to reduce suffering. most of my clinical and research career has been devoted to women who need patient -- later abortions because these women are so vulnerable and the circumstances they face are so heart wrenching that i am motivated by them every day. as an ob/gyn the cares for women and also does abortions, i always encourage women to either get prenatal or abortion care to maximize their health and minimize risk. if a woman makes the choice to enter pregnancy, she should receive save and respectful care without facing additional barriers or delays. decisions about ending a pregnancy can be complex and difficult enough without the additional struggles women face. to find a provider come get money together to pay for the abortion and bus ticket, could potentially face criticism from friends and families, and all this just to do what is necessary and right given their circumstan

san francisco 59 years. i am glad to say that i survived 20 years working for the city of san francisco and san francisco general hospital. in regards to the hiring practice of the city. i would like to point out how the system is manipulated for my direct experience at the hospital. many of my co-workers kept telling me and eventually i experienced where our superiors basically verbally discouraged us from taking any tests because they basically said between the lines that the person was already chosen. now this is from my experience. i have taken one test. i finished with a near-perfect score. and you tell me in 20 years how a person with my qualifications and never was promoted and never took another promotional test. so i would dare department of human resources, to tell me that it is not an ongoing and longtime practice where applicants are verbally discouraged to taking tests because, basically, the appointee has already been chosen by management. second, i would like to point out that the civil service commission helped me in regards to my problem. i would like to give credits to kate. after her departure, i hate

sailors, marines, and coast guard visited our hospitals in palo alto, san francisco, and also san francisco general hospital children's ward. having attended last year, i got the same for this year. the kids, doctors, nurses, they did not want these sailors, marines, and coast guard to leave. most importantly, it was a two- way street. all of them said the same thing. it was great to be involved with the community, to do these projects, and to come away with the great feelings they have of san francisco. if you do one good act, it has a ripple effect. i suggest to you the community relations project of fleet week are a veritable tsunami of goodwill. thank you. to support debra walker's comment by virtue of the fact that my personal experience at san francisco general hospital, when we had to convert from a very archaic manual system to a vanilla system that needed to be testified -- customized for the university's needs and we had to a degree of medical records, assignments, and billing. may i repeat, billing, money. this is extremely important to have online services that were generated on the floor with patients to be able to be tracked immediately and captured for billing purposes. complex is beyond -- i cannot even describe it. so i appreciate what is happening here. i am simply saying that two years, as long as it is, is going to be going very fast. the biggest problem, i would advise you, is the training staff. it is always orders of magnitude is difficult to go from what you know to an automated system. i do not know anything about this company. i do not know about the system. but i do know people. i will tell you that if you can get the system honed very carefully, it will grow much faster and will be more successful. and you need a backup system f
