san francisco 70, oakland 73. san jose 76. it's going to be a little bit sunnier in the north bay. santa rosa will be comfortable at 75 inland areas hitting near 80 degrees today. tonight the clouds will fill in once again and temperatures in the upper 50s to low 60s for many parts of the bay area. a little bit cooler in the north bay like cloverdale, santa rosa, lakeport near 56 degrees. and then let's jump ahead to monday. so we'll get a little bit more sunshine and that allows inland neighborhoods to warm up into the mid 80s for some spots like fairfield, antioch and then around the bay comfortable, we'll see lots of 70s. but at the beaches it's actually going to be cooler because of that stronger sea breeze. so some mid 60s for the beaches. here's the accuweather seven day forecast. so we are tracking those isolated chances showers but it is really light and that chance lingers through tomorrow. slightly cooler and then slightly warmer for labor day with a little bit more sunshine really will be closer to average next week

this evening, just a spectacular sunset, temperatures backing down to the mid-60s in san francisco and oaklandher inland still low to mid-70s, closer to where our highs will be tomorrow after we bottom out tonight in the 50s pretty much across the board. the very warmest locations stay around 60 degrees. let's check out the high temperatures for tomorrow which are going to be significantly cooler. today's high temperatures in the santa clara valley were a mix of upper 70s and low 80s. mid- to upper 70s is as far as you'll go friday afternoon, low 70s around fremont, mid- to upper 70s inland in the east bay. only low 70s in redwood city. you were right at 80 today. temperatures along the coast, no change, still upper 60s in half moon bay and san francisco, barely above 70 in oakland and inland in the north bay temperatures were like the santa clara valley a mix of upper 70s and low 80s. tomorrow you'll be in the low to mid-70s for highs. all those numbers are significantly below normal, but exactly where you live depends on how -- how far below average depends on where you live, 2 to 3 degrees

it does show if you're in san francisco, oakland, on southward, you may not get anything more than akles, a few hundredths of an inch of rain. up to a tenth of an inch of rain for santa rosa, while ukiah may have some slightly higher amounts of rainfall. we're still in for a nice day ahead, and temperatures a little cooler than normal, reaching into the mid to upper 70s for the south bay. much of the east bay reaching into the upper 70s and mid-60s near the coast. upper 60s for san francisco, with our north bay temperatures in the low 70s. as we are also along the coastline enjoying the sunshine, heads-up that there will be a high surf advisory in effect through tomorrow. some of those breakers may reach 14 to 17 feet. so be really careful near the coast. as far as temperatures, we do warm up going into the next few days. then it does come back down in time for the weekend. so just a brief warm-up midweek and we're back in the 70s in time for the weekend. >>> mike, are you still seeing delays in the east bay? >> we are. we expect this delay but it has filled in and continues to build

today, the north bay, central bay, san francisco, oakland and inland parts of the east bay getting in on the action with the poor air quality readings. unhealthy for sensitive groups. i think we are going to see one category of improvement tomorrow. bringing me some improvement. it means that is where the unhealthy range is. not willing to forecast anything better than moderate air for friday and saturday. it is possible that things will improve to the possibility. we will be cautious with that. what do the dots mean? when you are in the red range. unhealthy air. it is equivalent of smoking 3-7 cigarettes in a day and really towards the top end of that range across much of the bay area. six or seven cigarettes for smokers may not sound like much but for those of us who do not smoke that is way, way, way more than we are used to. think of kids out and about in this. especially when there were no alerts posted for most of the day. that is the official word is what the school districts go off of. they are sending kids out to play in that. they are not supposed to inhale that much tarticu

there is the fog already rolling in, temperatures in the 60s in san francisco. oakland 70s for san jose . santa rosa down to 71 already. still low 80s for livermore and concord. those numbers are not quite as warm as they were 24 hours ago , and the drop will continue. it will be a deeper marine layer spreading farther and farther inland is we head through the rest of tonight and early tomorrow morning. takes a bit longer to back up towards the coast. along the coast i would not anticipate seeing a whole lot of sunshine for the next couple of days. temperatures tonight dropping down to the mid to upper 50s with low 60s sprinkled in. highs tomorrow close to but some spots slightly below what is normal for this time of year. mid-60s on the coast and 70s and 80s down the peninsula and south end of the bay, with low to mid 80s in the santa clara valley. low to mid 80s for the tri-valley. just the hottest spots use a mount diablo around 90 degrees. around the bay, upper 60s in the 70s, and mid to upper 70s and low 80s for most of the north bay into you go much further north.
