san francisco recreation and park department found 75 percent of all calls -- golfers are san francisco residence. the city decided to close sharp park, there several golf courses that are nearby and charge the same price. by encouraging that transition of the closure for sharp park, san francisco can help stabilize that bay area golf market by encouraging local golfers to play and the best in lincoln and improve the overall performance of the fund which could be invest in an -- could be invested in the lincoln park golf course and others in the area. i live in san mateo county as the child and had the opportunity to golf with my friends and family and what fun adventure would be created if we went to san francisco to golf. it would not like catalyze more time with love once, it would give me pride knowing as a san mateo resident that we were respecting that natural habitat of our native frogs and state and going to san francisco for a golf adventures. the ordinance increases access to affordable golf to bay area residents by providing all pacific residents with san francisco resident r

parking is important in san francisco. there is a lot of competition for the public rights of way. parking is something that people in san francisco care about. it is something that we at the sfmta have to manage to make it work, to enable transit to flow in keeping with the city transit first policy. parking is important. to manage it, we create rules and regulations. a lot of people may not like them, but it is what we need to do to make parking and transit work. the purpose of the rules and regulations are not to get people caught up in them, but to make transit work and make transportation work in san francisco. that leads us to technology. technology is important because it helps us to be able to do things more efficiently and effectively. most san franciscans like and have technology. we are bringing technology to where people are. most people have cell phones come smartphones. we are adopting our systems to work with what people have in their day-to-day lives. i am joined by a great group of people behind me. they will talk about an exciting initiative we are launching today

as a longtime park volunteer with san francisco parks trust, now the parks alliance and with the goldenpark concourse authority. these remarks will be redundant to what has already been set, but they are certainly heartfelt. there is no greater park hero in san francisco than warren hellman, and renaming speedway meadow in honor of him would be a well-deserved tribute. this honor is not just for his amazing generosity to parks. his gift of music, his civic veal, and his leadership for a number of part bond efforts, so there's no one i know of who has done more in this regard. but it is just as much for is actual level of parks and his incredible effort to make park work for everyone. just as he is an open and includes a person, so, too, as he helped golden gate park accessible to all. i am sure you remember the time in the mid-1990s and but the california academy of sciences and the museum are planning to leave the park. two camps of park lovers are facing off, those who wanted to preserve cultural traditions in the park and others. in the midst of a heated controversy in 1998, warren s

san francisco. from chuck schwab, warren is a close friend of mine and a lifelong san franciscan who has displayed a rare dedication to our local community for many decades. his passion for improving our local parks, schools, art, and vitality of san francisco is unmatched. it is no exaggeration to say that his leadership on so many local issues and causes has to be made san francisco a better city for all of us. and future generations. in his letter, i find it particularly touching. it is from josie mooney. i met warren when i was the new president at the san francisco labor council and the new president of the committee on jobs. i called and asked if i could visit with them, in a courtesy call to introduce myself and make an odd request, perhaps rather than spending millions of dollars to defeat a living wage ordinance, the committee on jobs might want to support it. i thought it was unlikely, perhaps even a fool's errand. but then, i had never met warren hellman. he asked what i thought was a living wage. i mentioned a figure well in excess of what i would be possible. he countered with a significantly lower number. i countered with a cost-of- living escalator. the great voters of san francisc
