san francisco peninsula, the east bay, oranges and yellows indicating the stronger heavier rainfall totals 5:00 a.m. to 7:00 a.m. if you are commuting, be prepared for some wet roadways. scattered showers are expected. lighter in intensity, though. and it's not going to be widespread during the morning commute. as we head into the afternoon it dries out. we just have some lingering clouds with breezy conditions. rainfall totals across our region anywhere from about a tenth of an inch to half an inch. the models have really scaled back. although our wetter locations could pick up a little bit more than that. in terms of the mountains there's a winter weather advisory above 5,000 feet, expecting 8 to 12 inches of snow in the sierra, 18 inches over the peaks. difficult driving conditions are expected. tomorrow morning temperatures will be primarily in the 40s, 50s. make sure you grab your umbrella just in case you need to use it. but it's not going to be widespread tomorrow morning. tomorrow afternoon 50s, 60s for your highs and breezy. accuweather seven-day forecast it's a 1 on the storm imp

right across san pablo bay up 80 into solano county and even some off and on sprinkles in san francisco. the peninsula at the east bay in the south bay has dried out pretty nicely from where we were earlier this evening. but these showers will continue to move across the region during early morning hours so still definitely a wet start to this day, heaviest of rainfall now out in the central valley in the sierra foothills with snowfall still coming down pretty good in the sierra to so these regions over there are definitely off to a rocky start for commuters and that side of the state bay area just gets quieter and quieter through the day and by the time we work towards lunchtime in the afternoon. we're actually sitting under some really nice sunny skies so quite the change ahead of us over these next few hours as this rush of cooler air passes on through the state you will notice a slightly cooler feel to that sunshine as you venture out there, but shower activity really all said and done for the rest of the week that means from this point on lots of sunshine for us in just a bit of a cooler daytime

we do have this morning is some of our most widespread of activity right there on the peninsula into san francisco across the east bay for areas like berkeley and oakland pleasanton tri valley on out toward san leandro and hayward also looking at some widespread rain 80 in solano county and marion county right now also in the midst of some of our deepest of showers one of our heaviest spots is right in the midst of the bay itself so if you are traveling along 80 over the golden gate bridge bay bridge or richmond sandra fell bridge is these areas, especially wet. this moment, so just give yourself a little bit extra time this morning slow it down. hopefully traffic's not too terribly bad. the monday after the holiday week last week. but this will be slow in traffic a bit as we work our way in future cast. you can see how showers become less and less widespread this morning by 06:30am already looking at much drier conditions across the bay by 7.45 even drier yet sunshine really starts to reappear late morning and by the afternoon ahead of us we're looking at some really dry conditions to look forwar

at this time, i'll move to item 11, the san francisco peninsula rail program executive steering committee update. the chair will present this item. >> good morning, directors. i'm pleased to be here to provide an update on our peninsula rail working group. and i will appreciate project director helping me here and there as needed, but we've been making great progress. it's been a lengthy update this month because we didn't update you last month. but the main item that we have been working on has been our work plan. thank you so much for approving the last couple of items which will benefit us greatly in our work. so as you recall, the efc has been charged with developing the more detailed plan with the m.o.u. this spring and we've been engaged in the phasing study and operations study as early work tasks in in addition to finalizing the work plan. next item. and so this work plan has been vetted by the integrated project management team which is compromised of the six agencies director level, deputy level experts. and they have been looking at each of the tasks, tying them back to the m.o
