high surf advisory is still in effect for the north bay, coastal areas, san francisco, and other parts of the san francisco peninsula coast. i want to take a look back at that video from yesterday where those massive waves were happening during the high surf warning that we were keeping an eye on. that expired a couple hours ago, but not before a lot of action here at the pacifica pier. now, those big waves, they made their way across the street and even crept down the side streets. the waves brought in crowds and some who came too close got a reminder of the power of the ocean. the pier does remain closed and so the beach boulevard at the pier. >> be aware that waves maybe seem fine, but at any time a big wave can come up and cause harm. i suggest you stay far away. >> reporter: well, some people in marin county did not take that heed of warning. yesterday at stinson beach, lots of people showed up to watch the waves, even though they were told to stay away from the coast. the surge was so big, some streets had to be evacuated for several hours, but luckily there wasn't much damage. the same could not be said for s
