a lot of people travel for san francisco pride. o pride has always been the pinnacle of prides in the bay area. however, the majority of people of color are black and brown folks, gender queer folks. people that really span that diversity net are in oakland and for whatever reason we have not really elevated those voices as much as we could. therefore we've all come together to really elevate these folks' voices and give them a space and a presence in ways that we haven't done historically. so i'm really excited to have some of those headliners and some of these performances from different communities that sergio just mentioned, and it's going to be a really exciting time. damian: yeah. and so, sergio, this is a big event that--again, that you're bringing to oakland. talk about who should attend this fest. i would imagine that it's those within the lgbt community and those who do--maybe don't identify as such as well. sergio: this is open to everybody, and it doesn't have also an age limit. we are also even going to have a kid area

a couple other dwrots emphasize the general medical unit was present during the san francisco pride parade. luckily, they have they had two medical emergencies but through education and outreach and i wanted to thank the staff that participated in that including our partners at the san francisco fire department and emergency department staff at zuckerberg san francisco hospital. being the month of yul, the commission is -- when our new residence stops at the general hospital and combined with sars, zuckerberg welcomed over 500 new residents. as you know, in our partnership with ucsf, it's one of the premier teaching hospitals in the country. we're proud that we're continuing the tradition there. as we finance to emphasize the importance of providing trauma-informed care across the entire department, i wanted to point out that we're tongue provide training if that regard. that's my director's report up update. we'll provide more details on the monkeypox but i wanted to pause to see if there are any questions. >> if you would like to make comment on directors' report. press *3 now. *3. no ha

thousands of people gathered in downtown san jose today for the annual silicon valley pride parade. it is much smaller than san francisco's world famous event to the north. but as ktvu is, james torrez tells us, those who attended say, that's just fine with them. the morning starts with the last minute touches this float for bill .com, built by the company . the parade guides, i think is really just all about being celebratory and having a really fun, bright presence in the parade. their colors are orange and white, so we wanted to make sure that we pulled a lot of their their colors in. but obviously it's all about the rainbows and diversity. inclusion all of that good stuff. the parade kicked off with this shark monster truck from the san jose fire department about 80 groups marched the route much smaller than that of san francisco. we've had a crazy couple of years, covid a lot of bad news, and hopefully this is going to put some good news out in the world. the parade has been around for more than 40 years. it's stanford medicine's first time marching along the route. they used the opportunity to educate the community
