and the recreation and parks department, the san francisco public library commission, and the san francisco public library, and the planning commission. it has widespread support among the residents of north beach, as evidenced by the collection of over 1000 names on the petition. unfortunately, a lot of these folks are families with kids and working people, so they will not be here today, but i can tell you they are real people. enough time and money has been spent defending this project from a tax of a few folks that see that there is only one way, their way. it has like been playing -- whac-a-mole. harry truman had a sign on his desk and that says "the book stops here." we should say the nonsense stops here. thank you. president chiu: thank you. next speaker. and we appreciate members of the public allowing parents with young children to go. >> i am a north east to -- north beach resident. this is my second time speaking on behalf of the library with my children. i just want to speak as a property owner and parent and 13-year resident of north beach to say that we paren

san francisco as a world-class city with world-class art and culture. for more information, visit >> welcome to culturewater. in 2001, the san francisco arts commission and tampa does go public library established an arts master plan for the city soon to be renovated branch library. almost 10 years later, the san francisco arts commission has integrated a collection of vibrant new artworks by bay area artists into five new libraries, and there is more on the way. here is a closer look at some of the projects. >> the branch library improvement program is a bond funded program undertaken by the san francisco public library to upgrade each of the branch libraries throughout the neighborhoods. one of the great benefits of this opportunity is that each of these branches has a unique artwork that has been created specifically for that branch, based on input from people who live near that branch, in the surrounding neighborhood. >> trur- minded. there was a lot of community support for the project. i try to make it about the true hill and its history. they were something that natives used for making houses. the construction of the pond is based on abalone house construction. at the bottom

public is what makes it work. the library commission has become the most egregious sunshine by later in san francisco because they got their positions by suppressing accountability and democracy. that is what corp. -- one donors get for their money. the sunshine task force found a violation to be so egregious that was a willful violation of the requirements of the sunshine ordinance. after being referred to the ethics commission, a report was issued, i like acting, and quietly required of all public officials. violator was reelected president of the library commission because this is the mandate of privatization. the victim of treatment was not me, but it could have been anyone. has become typical of the contempt for democracy as we become grateful slaves rather than citizens. please send letters to the ethics commission or come to the meeting of monday, june 11. you know very well the forces of abuse that are unleashed by allowing private forces to raise private money with no accountability. the damage to our society is immeasurable, and the changes to our city are unsustainable. we all belong in san francisco.
