clean power sf is san francisco's key way of fighting climate change by renewable energy and offering it to san francisco customers. i'm from the san francisco public utilities commissionthe program came about with state wide legislation in 2002 to enable people to take more control over supplies. i first heard of the program when the organization was advocating to launch clean power sf. what i'm most excited about, it's going to bring 100% renewable energy to my home and reinvest into renewable energy infrastructure and jobs. i had gone to a lot of street fairs and heard from the staff at the san francisco public utilities commission to sign up for clean power sf even before it launched. >> we learned about clean power sf because our sustainability team is always looking for clean operations. linkedin is the largest online network. there are about 530 million members using our site. in this san francisco office there's about 1400 employees working in roughly 400,000 square feet. >> after signing up for the program we heard about the san francisco program and learned they had commercial rates and signed up for that. i'm the co-owner of the new wheel electric bike shop.

[applause] >> good afternoon. i would like to thank all of you for providing me the opportunity to speak upon my experience with project pole. my first summer was in 2014 as a college team leader. it was my very first job and as a first-generation college students, it was truly an eye-opening experience. it was through project pull that i was able to envision the future that i wanted for myself and for my family. i remember walking into 525 golden gate avenue with my heart racing cabin everest to be in a professional office setting for the first time. all of my worries were put at ease when i was greeted with a welcoming hug. given that project pull was my very first job, there were many mistakes that i made, but thanks to lisa's love and patience, i learned from them. i have the opportunity to work with lisa and continue with project pull as a project coordinator and is a city employee to help give others a same opportunities and second chances that were given to me. this past year,

san francisco public works is the lead agency, but we are working closely with four other agencies and city departments including the sfmta, the planning department, the transportation authority and san francisco public utilities commission. better market street runs from along market street from stewart all the way to octavia, which is about 2.2 miles in total. the project goals are to reduce traffic collisions, provide a dedicated bicycle lane. as you know none exist east of 8th street, improving transit operations in the passenger experience and then finally refreshing the landscaping and urban design of the corridor. we have a project structure that involves several different levels, starting with a technical advisory committee, which meets monthly. there's a policy steering committee, as well, and a director's meeting. the director's -- the five directors from city departments and from the transportation authority meet every other month to discuss the project and to make sure that it's staying on schedule and within our budget. our community working group meets every other month, as well. we've held four rounds of community involvement or public outreach. the latest round was held in march of 2018, so just about six
