san francisco dropped to 8.5%. san francisco at the end of 2016 had over approximately 37,000 people enrolled in insurance marketplace and about 78,000 who had been enrolled through the medicaid expanse. san francisco has approximately 135,000 residents enrolled in the san francisco health plan. those numbers were for the end of 2016. i know there has been on a federal-level nationally approximately 400,000 people that have enrolled in the aca for 2017. so going into emerging and post-election legislative issues, as we were preparing this platform, the election took place, which is potentially shifted some of our priorities that we have and some of the focus of our attention on a city-level. so going back to the aca, as many of you know three weeks ago, the legislation was introduced to repeal and replace the affordable care act. last week the senate and the house approved that budget resolution, which directs the house and senate committees to work with legislation designed to repeal major portions of the aca. this legislation has a deadline to be completed january 27 and would allow republicans to pass future legislation without the threat of a filibuster from democrats. only provisions
