from san francisco this morning, we are dealing with a little bit of fog this morning and a few patches of dense fog. here's another view for you up san francisco. san francisco right now checking at 49 degrees. santa rosa at 34, we have a little more -- livermore at 48, and we have san jose coming in at the low 40s this morning. a little cooler along the east bay shore along with the south bay and peninsula, little bit warmer. as we get into the second part of the afternoon we will cover mostly sunny skies. this morning we are dealing with a fog, especially if you're going to be traveling. i'm talking about the central valley were it is thick and dense. here picking up on a few patches out there. if you get a little bit closer, because the our visibility report shows barely -- fairly good visibility. little bit of fog over the bay, but it looks like it has cleared up. i saw some darker shards of gray. it looks like for the time being we are in good shape.- expected for today upper 50s to low 60s. notice to the north we've got some rain out there. it will eventually come our way. i will have details on the rest of your weekend an extended forecast c

san francisco. walk san francisco strongly supports this legislation and hopes it will unanimously pass out of this committee with a favorable recommendation. this is a triple win for people from san francisco and you can use the land for specific basis if parking is not needed the sponsor can opt for more favorable public-serving amenities and also as has been said dramatically lowers development cost for projects that are not parking dependent and lower price which is is critically needed. finally, when parking is not fundamental to the project use, it encouraging project users to use habits more sustainable and walking and taking advantage of transit which we already invest in heavily and use shareable options. stim to the legislation would have a net effect of conflicts improving the likelihood it will achieve our vision and goals. and as a greater percentage of people opt for getting around via other than single-family vehicles, we will reverse the unhealthy air quality now pervasive in too many neighborhoods. as others have said, now, every san franciscan knows what it's like to live in particle-laden air. some of us live adjacent to freeways and major arterials. >> thank yo

so many throughout san francisco, but they often are paid the least and, like so many of our residents, are too often struggling to get by in an expensive city like san francisco. san francisco has always demonstrated a commitment in supporting our lowest wage workers. when the governor significantly reduced financial support to counties for in home support services programs, san francisco stepped up to fill in that gap. we have led the way in raising our minimum wage to one of the highest in the country, and we are continuing that leadership today with this legislation. the negotiations were difficult, very difficult, and they were long, but that's because we all knew the importance of making sure that everyone had a seat at the able in this conversation. as a result, we have an ordinance that reflects our commitment in taking care of what are the lowest wage earners in san francisco and moving them to a better place although we know they deserve a lot more. our in home support service workers will see a wage increase of $3.75 from their current wage over the course of next five years. san francisco. when you look at mayor moscone who sort of ushered in the modern era of san francisco. when we think of what is san francisco, george moscone played a critical role in allowing that to happen and allowing everyone to blue cross cross -- blossom in this city. when you look at what happened in this city in the last couple of city, especially around hiv/aids, what harvey milk did, he didn't just give this community hope, he in many ways helped teach this community and helped us understand that we have the strength to survive and thrive, that we don't have to always rely on other people to bring us up, that we are able to pull ourselves up, and without the hope and the strength that harvey milk helped create, i don't know if things might have gone a little differently with hiv/aids. when you look at the carnage that happened in this community, but the strength of this community was able to make it through. not everyone made it through, but we're still here as a community after everything that has happened, and harvey played such a key role in creating the atmosphere in the lgbt community to allow that

san francisco heritage. as you know, heritage is partnering with the san francisco latino historical society on a city-wide san francisco latino context study. as desiree mentioned, our lady of guadalupe is among the most significant landmarks associated with the early latino community to present day. i'm authorized to speak on behalf of the latino historical society this morning -- sorry, this afternoon -- as well to express our strong support for designating the interior of the church. i had the opportunity to tour the building a few weeks ago with the current owners and stewards of the building, and it's been the first time since i've been inside in about six or seven years, and i was immediately impressed by steps already taken to restore integrity of the interior. the last time i toured the building, it was filled, the sanctuary was filled with temporary classrooms. that's all been removed and much work done already to restore the interior integrity. it's important to note and give credit to some of the other steps that are already underway by the current owners including resurrecting the annual processio
