we are in the process of securing funding from the san francisco transportation authority to fund the 30% designed completion of phase two. on july 10th, the board approved the proposition k. allocation in the amount of $9.7 million for the dt x. there allocation is expected to be ratified by the board july -- of the july 24th meeting. i would like to especially thank to -- the executive director for their supports. the 9.7 million only covers a portion to complete the phase two, 30%. we will be asking ntc for the rest of the money once the money becomes available later this month. we have had some discussions with them on that. at this time i would like to ask our senior construction manager to present the project leadership agreement quarterly reports. >> good morning directors. i'm here to report the quarter 22018 project labour agreement report. our progress to date on the various elements and labour statistics and how we are doing on our apprentice reporting trends, considering we are at the very end of construction. i'll be identity -- identifying where we are at with our goals.

transportation. we have two of them here tonight, the san francisco municipal transportation agency or affectionately known at m.t.a., and the san francisco county transportation authority, affectionately known at c.t.a., and they are the ones taking and moving the needing, and we are encouraging them, and lucky to brainstorm with them. i'm very impressed with the work those entities do, and i'm proud to call them partners. so tonight you're going to hear three presentations to offer sort of a snapshot of this 80 goal. the first presentation, we'll be looking at what the department of the environment is doing, specifically our outreach efforts. then we'll hear from the m.t.a., what the city is doing in their own programs, and finally admitting that transportation is ultimately a regional challenge. we will hear from the county transportation authority, the c.t.a. so we believe that it's critical to start young. this is not an unusual strategy for the department of the environment. we have a very robust school education program, as you know, on zero waste, and simile, we think about transportation from that same lens. we need to encourage families to walk and bike, take

i had a chance to meet with staff from the san francisco county transportation authority, and i'm workinght now on completing a draft scope. hope to have that ready in the next few weeks, and i will have a presentation for you on the scope at our september 21 meeting, thank you at the last meeting, commissioner ronen, you asked me to include in that study how we can help taxi drivers who are struggling to payoff their medallion loans. so today, i'd like to ask for direction on this. the m.t.a. as you know hired a consultant which has produced a draft report on how to improve the health of the taxi industry, and they do address briefly in their report some of the issues that medallion holders are having in terms of struggling to pay their loans. what i would like to propose is instead of doing a separate study on this, is that i analyze the m.t.a.'s report and other work that has been done in this area and come up with our own list of recommendations on how to help these drivers. so i'm proposing to do this separate from the study on emerging mobility services and labor. and lafco is autho
