what you are also seeing is that where parkmerced stood between san francisco university and the bart station, you will see how bicycle lanes start to connect from university through the gateway to the census go -- or from san francisco university to the bar area. i'm going to drill down to show you what i'm talking about here is one of the mitigation measures we worked with said you need to make sure that pedestrians and bicyclists can safely cross streets. level of service really only measures automobiles moving through intersections. we have a priority on bicycle and pedestrian safety and transit reliability. wherever we can tweak an intersection that looks like it was getting in trouble to make it more say for bicycles and pedestrians, we did. what you see here is that there used to be a half -- this is the current half, the current situation now, of automobiles that were using the cloverleaf to cross what would be the bicycle path to get on the highway here analysis shows we can accommodate the traffic pattern in a way that does not necessarily -- also what that says is it actual

i did graduate from san francisco state university and spent plenty of time there. i am here to state that our organizational position on this matter is to support the appellants and to ask you not to approve this development project. we find this a housing for long- term residents, some elderly, many students, in an area in the city where there is always a constant need for more reasonably-rated housing. market rate is certainly anything but that. the environmental impact of the project is very suspicious. there are a lot of things that were not covered in the eir report, a lot of potential hazards. it is disingenuous to avoid addressing those before approving the development of this size. finally, right next door to a working-class university, there is a revolutionary labor studies program, a revolutionary health program. it is insulting to the intelligence of the people in this room to suggest that development means demolishing working-class homes. that is a bad translation. this is a proposal that does not take the people into account. the people who are here --

i am an athletics coach at san francisco state university. my degree is in chemical engineering. i have been attending raves for about 10 years, and i enjoy the inspiring music. not all are drug users. the city's recent actions against the safe and permanent dance parties are unjustified and are going to backfire. i attended a wonderful new year's eve party that was perfectly permited, peace will come and save, but officers shut it down before midnight seemingly on the basis that electronic music was being played -- permited, peaceful, and safe. instead, i moved into a fund but less a house party. -- i moved into a fun but less safe house party. i want the city to recognize that people from all walks of life and enjoy the music scene and to provide opportunities for us to meet with our friends at large outdoor public venues or a small private parties to enjoy the music we like. thank you. president newlin: thank you. >> hello. thank you to the city and to the sf commission for having us here today. my name is roxanna, in the eye and an active member of the dance community nights

i attended san francisco state university's school of nursing and i currently live in the mission district. my history with st. luke's began long before i worked there. when i was 8 years old my mother had surgery and i remember climbing up the building stairs which are now closed becauser in not a.d.a. accessible. my three children were born at st. lukes and they have served as volunteers over the years at the hospital. i began my career as a staff nurse in the surgical unit on the ninth floor. i worked the knight shift and i remember the many aftershocks where all the nurses and i were afraid when the building swayed from side to side. we were afraid that we would have to evacuate the patients in fear that we could not get them all out in time. since 1995 i worked as a certified diabetes educator and because of the prevalence of diabetes in our surrotundaing neighborhoods is very high, especially in the latino and african american community, many of our patients have socioeconomic issues and they rely on us to nave gate through the system. the -- navigate through the system. the billing
