the beginning at 07:00:02am, this morning we had a 3.7 magnitude quake just northwest of the san francisco zoo those of us and western san francisco daly city in pacifica reported quite a lot of shaking. well, several 1000 of the rest of us across the bay, some minor shaking. then at 9.39. this morning, we had a 2.5 aftershock. so a busy morning seismically at least near the coastline. here's a view at the coast right now in half moon bay. with those clear skies overhead, wind wise, a little breezy at the coast and in our upper elevations enough so that we do have high wind watches for upper elevations this weekend. aside from this is very comfortable. temperatures are in the 50's to low 60's already this morning and our afternoon highs later on today. very similar to where we were yesterday, which is going to be in the 60's to low 70's, potentially record-breaking warmth yet again. back to a lot, john, at 10, 30 right now. let's get to the latest los angeles county where those fires are burning and first responders. >> have just announced that the palisades fire, which was one of the 2 bigges

this would be the explanation we did have a 3.7 magnitude quake just northwest of the san francisco zoolier this morning, those who felt the war shaking were actually in western san francisco daly city down to pacifica. most of the rest of us, some really light just brief jolt. we're sitting at center tower looking down at the golden gate bridge. skies are crystal clear. we've got another day with very light offshore wind here locally that you'll notice the direction that wind's coming from. we do have a little bit of smoke settled into the bay, although today it's going to get kicked out, pushed out of the region and staying away from us. so not a huge impact from the southern california wildfires, at least from the smoke here locally still do have high wind warnings and red flag warnings into the early evening for socal here locally. we do have our high wind advisories in upper elevations this weekend. winds gusting as high as 30 miles per hour. those areas of yellow and orange on the map indicating heightened fire danger, which does pull back into the weekend. so good news for socal
